We help every student shine!
At Gilroy, we believe it is important for students to pursue interests to find what they are passionate about. We give them exposure to a range of exciting opportunities to unlock their creative potential, develop a talent or follow a passion.
We help every student shine!
Creative and Performing Arts
Gilroy has a reputation for providing our students with a wide range of dynamic creative and performing arts activities and programs, including music, drama and dance. Our students are able to participate in the College's bi-annual musicals and the Gilroy Art and Performance Evening. We take pride in our high production values, enhanced by the College's industry standard audiovisual equipment.
Gilroy is also actively engaged with CAPTIVATE (the creative and performing arts program for Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese), putting students in touch with industry experts and connecting our school to exciting experiences such as Learning Exhibitions, Eisteddfods, Workshops and Projects.
School Sport
Sport is a valued part of a school’s curriculum, contributing to the development of the whole child by providing opportunities for social, physical, emotional and moral learning. Participation, enjoyment and skill development are the cornerstones of school sport. Representative pathways are also available through the Parramatta Diocesan Secondary Schools Sports Council.
Students are able to participate in representative sports such as Hockey, Rugby League, Soccer, AFL, Netball, Athletics, Basketball, Volleyball, Triathlon and Cross Country.

Social Justice
Our students are offered a wide variety of local community activities to help develop a sense of pride, respect and responsibility for themselves and others. This positive approach can be seen in how we interact and learn with one another, work collaboratively and take ownership of our behaviour, as well as our active involvement in faith-based experiences.
Gilroy's Student Leadership team drive the College's engagement with the St Vincent de Paul Winter and Christmas Appeals, Project Compassion and the Diocesan Works Fund Appeals. Through the Mary MacKillop Service Awards Program our students are given the opportunity to be involved with initiatives such as the Vinnies Van, Socktober fundraiser, Interfaith Dialogue and Jesuit Social Services.

Excursions, Camps and Retreats
Every student loves to get out of the classroom and explore.
Our students benefit greatly from school trips where they are able to observe new things not available at school such as rare and exotic wildlife and plants, different cultures and the stories of our history. These experiences lead to deeper understanding of learning subjects.
Camps and retreats are also wonderful opportunities for students to develop independence, grow in faith, form strong friendships and make life-long memories!
